\"Halloween<\/a>Brooke, a former co-worker, loves, loves LOVES Halloween. She and I both have September birthdays; in fact, her birthday was just a few days ago on September 5th. One year we shared an office space, so I put up Halloween decorations as a birthday present. I stayed after work and when she came in the next day,\u00a0she was totally surprised! There were fake spider webs everywhere! Ever since then, I start decorating my office for Halloween on September 5th. Following are some tips to help you decorate for Halloween or any holiday.<\/p>\n

First, find out if your company has any rules about office decorations, and think about what is appropriate. A decorative pumpkin may be fine while a grisly scene is likely to offend in most any situation. Your homage to all-saints\u2019 day should be something that can be enjoyed by you as well as your co-workers. A dish full of Halloween candy is a safe bet!<\/p>\n

When you start putting out your seasonal decorations, make sure all of the embellishments are temporary and can be easily taken down or removed. In other words, don\u2019t paint your office walls black or build a pirate ship fa\u00e7ade over the front door.<\/p>\n

Another thing to consider is whether or not your props and decorations are causing any functional issues for yourself or co-workers. If your Halloween fun is making work impossible, management isn\u2019t going to allow you to keep it.<\/p>\n
