Whatever it is you're doing, it can't be bad enough to warrant the five letter word for remorse (sorry). Just in case you're unsure when the right time and place for skipping the I'm sorry spiel is, here are four examples.

1. Having high expectations
Never ever say you're sorry for holding yourself and your colleagues to a high standard. Being passionate about your work is something to be proud of. The same goes for your employers and colleagues. If you offend someone when you ask him or her to complete expected tasks, it's by no means your fault.

2. Not replying to an email in minutes
In any given day, you'll be bombarded with emails, texts, phone calls and a number of other distractions. Don't feel pressured to answer them immediately. If someone reaches out to you asking why you haven't replied to an email that he or she sent out 20 minutes ago, don't apologize. There's no need to be sorry for being busy at work, explained The Business Woman Media.

3. Taking a moment to yourself
Don't forget to be a person in the midst of your chaotic day. If nothing else, you deserve a mere five minutes of solitude without interruption. All Women's Talk magazine explained that alone time is important for your health.

Not to mention, a little you time is an opportunity to think and plan your next move. Sometimes all you need is five minutes of silence to come up with a creative approach to problem solving.

4. Asking for something
Time Magazine contributor Jessica Bennett explained that sorry is often used to soften the blow of asking for something. In no way should a woman feel uncomfortable for asking for something, for example a raise or promotion. It's time to stop apologizing.

[1893
