9 Halloween Costume Ideas for Your Dog

Just like with small children, Halloween is a time to dress your dog up in ridiculous costumes and snap as many pictures as you can before Fido starts having an issue.  There’s the cliché dress your dog up as a hot dog, a dinosaur, or a pretty princess – but then there are the incredibly creative dog costumes. Don’t worry cat lovers; your post is coming soon.

Without further adieu, I’d like to present to you the 9 Halloween Costumes I’d like to see you, 123Print’s loyal and wonderful readers, dress your dogs up as this Halloween year:

Elvis

“You ain’t nothin’ but a hounddog…”

The Headless Horseman

Go on! Terrify small children with the help of your dog. I dare you.

Darth Vader

The force is strong with this one, my friends.

Mario – From Super Mario Brothers

Play fetch with your dog on Halloween, while he’s wearing this costume. When your dog can’t find the ball right away, or takes time searching for it, the costume will give you an excuse to scream things like “Sorry! The princess is in another castle!”

A Superhero

Batman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman… the possibilities are endless. Let your dog be the hero he/she is.

A Parrot

Judging by the shoes of the person in this picture, I’m willing to bet they were dressed as a pirate – so dress your dog up as a parrot for the complete pirate ensemble.

A Cow

Realistically speaking, this only works if your dog is a Dalmatian, but whatever. I also don’t even want to try to figure out how they got the balloon to stay in place of an udder. I just don’t.

Lobster and Chef

Bon Appétit!

Oompa Loompa

Normally Oompa Loompas terrify me, but this one is absolutely adorable and I hope to see every small dog dressed as one this Halloween.

So, there you have it folks – inspiring and creative ideas as to what to embarrass your dog with this Halloween. Stay tuned cat lovers, your feline friends need costumes this year as well.
