2014: The Year of the Orchid Wedding

Raise your hand if you love purple. Me, me, me, me, ME! I DO! When Pantone named “radiant orchid” the 2014 color of the year, I was happy. As a small child, I wanted to have a purple wedding. Oh sure, by the time I got married I switched to aqua. But when one of my best friends opted for purple, I kind of kicked myself. So if you love purple, this is the year to do it!

On the Pantone home page, they say, “Radiant Orchid blooms with confidence and magical warmth that intrigues the eye and sparks the imagination. It is an expressive, creative and embracing purple—one that draws you in with its beguiling charm. OK, come on. Who doesn’t want that?! So let’s take a look at your radiant orchid, a.k.a. purple, a.k.a. plum, options.
