4 great reasons to send a postcard

A postcard is an eye-catching way to share information with your customers. These handy messages are easy to create and send with 123Print's custom postcards. Not only can you use a photo of your latest product, but we'll also print whatever you like on one or both sides. Here are four great reasons to send a postcard today:

1. When you're hosting an event
If you have an exciting event coming up and you want to spread the word ahead of time, consider using a postcard. On the front use a photo or graphic of what the event is about. Include details such as when and where it is taking place, how much it costs and what people can expect when they arrive. Perhaps you are having a spring sale at the thrift store you own. Consider using a picture of some of the items you'll be selling. Add the name and of your shop along with the date and time of the sale. Consider purchasing address labels if you often send mail for business – they're great time-savers. Be sure to send the postcards about two weeks in advance. This way, they will make their way through the postal service and to your customers' doors with at least a week to go before the event.

2. If you're moving
Maybe your company is moving to a new location and you need a way to let your customers and clients know. Besides changing your address on your business cards and websites, it's a good idea to let people know about the change individually. Consider sending postcards with this news. Check out the pre-existing designs on 123Print's website or create your own. If this is a celebratory occasion and your business is expanding, consider choosing a style with a happy tone. Or, if that's not your thing, look for an elegant one that simply announces the change of address in a matter-of-fact way.

3. To say 'Thank you!'
When it comes to customer loyalty and appreciation, it's important to let your valued customers know that you care. You can do this by sending out a thank-you postcard. Customize your design to include a shot of everyone from your staff smiling at the camera or go the more traditional route and choose an existing design. Use your words to convey gratitude for your customers' business. Even consider adding a special bonus discount to returning customers, like 20 percent off their next purchase. Your customers will appreciate your thoughtfulness and keep that postcard in mind the next time they need your product or services.

4. As a reminder
Many businesses that use appointments send postcards as reminders. Dentists, eye doctors and veterinarians often send postcards to their clients to let them know when it's time to call in and set up a checkup. This can also be a great way to let people know about upcoming sales and discount opportunities. Just be sure to include any restrictions that may affect the sale.
