Did you know the average American consumes more than six pounds of peanuts and peanut butter products each year? (Those Reese’s … they call to me). That means that Americans, on average, consume over 1.5 billion pounds of peanut butter and peanut products each year. THAT means that the amount of peanut butter eaten by Americans in one year could wrap the earth in a ribbon of 18oz peanut butter jars one and one-third times.

Create an infographic. Use an obscure holiday like National Peanut Butter month to create a fun infographic for your customers! For inspiration, check out this infographic shared by HuffPost.
The power behind infographics is astounding. People respond to stories — infographics allow you to present data and statistics as a clean, readable and fun venue for showcasing a visual story. There are several free tools out there that can help you create a great infographic. For sharing stories, Google Databoard and Visual.ly are two tools for creating visuals from other people’s data. For creating your own stories, Easel.ly and Infogr.am are two tools for creating visuals from your data.
Make it “stick.” Play off ideas like National Peanut Butter Month — For example, make your brand “stick” with your customers by giving out freebies like promotional magnets that have your company’s info on them. Magnets are always appreciated as they have many uses outside of networking. Just imagine — someone’s grocery list secured to their fridge with YOUR custom magnet. You could even consider printing out your business cards on magnets and handing those out!
Have your employees share their stories. For example, solicit the help of your coworkers by having them send you their favorite recipes using peanut butter. Then compile the list together, and give it to your customers with their November purchase!
