3rd Wednesday Weddings Wedding Inspiration

Do You have a Bridal Style? Heck yeah!

Bridal Style

Bridal StyleEvery bride-to-be has her own unique — excuse my French — “je ne sais quoi.” It’s a definitive style or certain something that makes you, well, you. And that style is what will make your wedding uniquely yours as well.

For most of us, our vision for the perfect wedding day has probably transitioned over the years. Yes, fairy tale princess may have been the dream at five, but even if that’s still the look you’re going for at 25, 35 or 45, I bet it’s been refined some. And Pinterest makes it easier than ever before to really narrow down and pinpoint your style.

Helping brides define their style and create that perfect wedding is something we think a lot about at 123Print. When you’re in the business of wedding invitations, it’s kind of a prerequisite.

So when we set out to design très magnifique new wedding invitations this summer, we decided to develop five different design styles: Modern, Glamorous, Classic, Casual and Bohemian. Which style fits you best? Let’s take a closer look:

123Print Modern BrideModern — Do you love the look of the iPhone and, really, now that I mention it, all of Apple’s designs? Is your phone case a bright pop of color? Are you the first one of your friends to try something new, or do you love making what was old new again with a fresh edge to it? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you might be a Modern bride. That would mean that clean lines, vibrant solids, bold statements and traditional-with-a-twist are the design elements that give you energy and get you excited.

Glamorous — Come on. You know who you are. You’ve had a tiara since before you could walk. If it glitters, you have to have it. A chandelier in your bathroom? Why not! The idea of genuine diamonds on your wedding cake gives you goose bumps. All of these things make you a Glam bride. Your big day will likely be celebrated in celebrity style, very classy, full of intricate details and extravagant. Nothing less will do, and your friends and family expect nothing less.

Classic — Your favorite piece of jewelry, after your engagement ring, is a pearl brooch that your great grandmother, gave your grandmother who gave it to your mom who gave it to you on your 21st birthday. Your apartment is elegantly decorated with conventional pieces of timeless furniture. Soft pastel accents add interest to the traditional black and white palette that envelops your space. You, my dear, are a Classic bride.

Casual — In the 80’s you might have been labeled “preppy,” but that’s not really accurate. Yes, you do like a good nautical theme, and bold primary colors, stripes and plaid patterns appeal to you. Your closet is full of it! But your lifestyle is more about relaxed simplicity. You are inspired by the outdoors and like to reflect that inspiration in your style. Not in a rugged hunter or logger way, but in a clean, comfortable and cozy way. For the Casual bride, everything will be just a little more laid back.

123Print Pinterest Bohemian BrideBohemian — Are you the kind of person who knows how to get your Freddie Mercury on? (I mean seriously, who can read the word “bohemian” and not think of the famous Queen song and it’s equally famous lead singer?) Freddie and his music were free-spirited, eclectic and fun. And isn’t that you? Formal affairs get you feeling uptight which is why, as the Bohemian bride, your wedding might be in a meadow. Or at the least, it will feel like a meadow, with wild flowers for a bouquet and lots of vintage-inspired details to make the informal ceremony a little less ceremonious and a lot more relaxed.

Do you see yourself in any of these descriptions? It’s very likely, which is why we designed a series of new wedding invitations to help you create the perfect wedding inspiration for your unique style.
